Nicole Welds, LGSW, LMSW
Nicole is a Licensed Masters level Social Worker in Maryland and a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) in District of Columbia with 14 years experience. She earned her Bachelors of Social Work and Masters of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. Nicole has experience working in a variety of settings, serving clients over the lifespan.
Nicole has special interest areas of LGBTQ populations, Sexuality and Gender Exploration, Women of Color, Holistic Wellness and Spirituality, Life Transitions, Couples/Marriage Counseling, and Immigration. She also has experience treating Addiction, Adjustment Disorders, Anger, Anxiety, Bipolar, Depression, Life Transitions, Relational Conflict, Schizophrenia, Self-Esteem/Confidence, Stress, and Trauma. Nicole enjoys using mindfulness techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Strength Based Therapy, and Solutions Focused Therapy.
She is extremely passionate about supporting clients with all of their therapeutic needs. Nicole takes an eclectic person-centered approach in counseling, preferring to focus on maximizing individual and collective strengths while supporting clients in their journeys to actualize and live their desired lives.
