Lucas Monaco, LGPC

Lucas Monaco is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) in Washington, D.C. He received his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The George Washington University.

Lucas has worked in the mental health field for over seven years, working exclusively with adults focusing on substance use disorder, depression, grief, life adjustments, and impulsive behaviors. He blends elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), psychodynamic, and person-centered therapeutic techniques in order to meet client objectives.

Lucas works to foster a collaborative therapeutic space where clients feel empowered to make the changes they wish to see. He believes you cannot fail therapy and it essentially is an adjustable process that can be used for a safe place to express yourself and create goals to meet your needs.
