Kimberly Crooks, LGSW

Kimberly Crooks is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) in Washington, D.C., with a background in education, clinical social work, and substance use recovery. She earned a Master of Social Work from Howard University and has experience providing individual and group therapy in both school-based settings and intensive outpatient programs (IOP/PHP).


Kimberly is a compassionate and collaborative therapist whose approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. She works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, life transitions, and substance use. Before entering the mental health field, Kimberly was a classroom teacher, which shaped her deep understanding of child and adolescent development, as well as systemic and familial factors that impact mental health.


Kimberly incorporates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed care to support clients in building resilience, fostering accountability, and reclaiming their narrative. She strives to create a safe and empowering space for healing and growth.
