Elizabeth Mohler, LICSW
Elizabeth received her Master of Social Work from the University of California, Los Angeles and has been a clinical social worker for 15 years. She has worked in community mental health and foster care programs and is currently the Director of Social Services at a Core Services Agency through the DC Department of Behavioral Health.
Elizabeth works primarily using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness techniques. She has advanced training in working with survivors of trauma, and extensive experience working with families who struggle to communicate effectively.
She uses the therapeutic relationship to create a safe space for clients to explore thoughts and feelings, to set goals and move forward. Elizabeth has a strong belief in the potential for individuals to heal from past experiences, and to lead satisfying and productive lives.
