Easwari Amirthanayagam, LGSW

Hi, I’m Easwari. I am a therapist who helps clients slow down, reflect, and reconnect with the parts of themselves that have felt ignored, overwhelmed, or misunderstood. My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for the complexity of your lived experience. I believe therapy is a place where your inner world can be explored with care and without urgency.

As a second-generation American of Sri Lankan Tamil descent, I understand how culture, identity, and belonging shape the way we move through the world. This perspective informs my intersectional and culturally attuned approach, especially for clients navigating questions around identity, displacement, generational expectations, or the feeling of being in two places at once.

My practice is trauma-informed and client-centered, and I tailor our work to your goals, your pace, and your capacity in the moment. I draw from CBT, psychodynamic therapy, strengths-based work, inner child work, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing to help you explore your internal landscape while also developing strategies that support everyday functioning. Clients often describe therapy with me as steady, thoughtful, and grounding.

I am committed to making therapy accessible and supportive for people from marginalized communities, particularly those holding complex identities or histories. Whether you're processing past experiences, navigating transitions, or trying to understand who you are becoming, we work together in a way that feels collaborative and emotionally safe.

If you’re seeking a therapist who will move with you at your pace while helping you understand your story in a deeper, more compassionate way, I would be glad to begin that process with you.
