Rhea Bush, LGSW

Hi, I’m Rhea, though many people know me as “Dr. B.” I’m a Licensed Graduate Social Worker in Washington, D.C., and I believe everyone has a story—one shaped by experiences we may celebrate, struggle to understand, or be ready to move beyond. Wherever you are in your story, therapy can offer a space to reflect, gain clarity, and move forward with intention.

My approach is warm, thoughtful, and focused on helping you move forward. Together, we’ll explore what you’re experiencing, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and build on the strengths you already carry. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), strengths-based and solution-focused approaches, mindfulness, and wellness practices to help you gain new perspectives, develop healthier ways of coping, and make meaningful changes in everyday life. I especially enjoy working with young adults and adults navigating life transitions, stress and burnout, relationship concerns, self-esteem, identity, and emotional wellness. Whether you know exactly what brought you to therapy or simply know that something needs to change, you don’t have to have it all figured out before you begin.

In recognition of my commitment to service and humanitarian work, I was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism by the Global International Alliance.

Your story matters, and you get to decide what the next chapter looks like. I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
