Dina Maalouf, LCSW
Hi, I’m Dina. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Washington, D.C., and for more than ten years I’ve supported individuals navigating anxiety, depression, chronic mental health conditions, suicidal ideation, and major life transitions. My early work on a suicide hotline and in community mental health shaped how I approach therapy today: with steadiness, compassion, and deep respect for the strength it takes to seek help.
My style is warm, direct, and relationship-oriented. I believe trust grows through consistency and honest connection, so I work intentionally to create a therapeutic space where you can bring your full experience without fear of judgment. I integrate DBT, CBT, and psychodynamic therapy to help you understand the roots of your emotions, build practical coping skills, and create new ways of moving through challenges. Clients often describe therapy with me as supportive but clear, with a balance of insight and structure that helps them make meaningful progress.
As a Palestinian/Arab American therapist, I understand how cultural identity, family expectations, and lived experience shape the way we navigate mental health. I work with individuals from many backgrounds and am especially committed to helping clients feel seen, understood, and empowered in ways that honor who they are and where they come from.
If you’re looking for a therapist who brings steadiness, depth, and a grounded approach to healing, I’m here to support you in building the life you want to live.
