Christina Udodi, LGPC

Hi, I’m Christina. I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in Washington, D.C., and I work with teens, young adults, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. My background in crisis intervention and outpatient mental health therapy has taught me how complex people’s stories can be and how much courage it takes to sit with difficult emotions.

In our work together, you can expect a style that is warm, steady, and relational. I take a person-centered approach and spend time building trust so you never feel rushed or reduced to a diagnosis. I integrate CBT, DBT-informed techniques, and other evidence-based tools to help you understand patterns, manage intense emotions, and create a life that feels more aligned with who you want to be. Clients often describe therapy with me as grounding and collaborative, with a blend of curiosity, gentle humor, and direct insight that makes the process feel supportive and meaningful.

I work most with teens and individuals in early to middle adulthood, especially those navigating identity shifts, academic or career pressure, self-harm, trauma responses, or persistent feelings of not being “enough.” I believe therapy works best when it adapts to you, and together we clarify your goals, explore what you’re carrying, and chart a path toward growth that feels realistic and sustainable.

If you’re looking for therapy that helps you slow down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and move forward with more clarity, I’m here to support you through that work at a pace that feels right for you.
