Bezawit (Beza) Addis, LPC
Bezawit Addis is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) practicing in Washington DC. She received her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling and a Grief Counseling Certificate from South Western College, Santa Fe, NM. She provided mental health services in outpatient mental health clinics, addiction treatment centers, and within psychiatric units of a correctional setting.
Bezawit works collaboratively with her clients to address a broad variety of challenges including depression, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, intergenerational trauma, body image/self-esteem issue, personality disorder, relationship/attachment issues, addiction/medication seeking behavior, criminal activities/ recidivism, and behavioral management concerns.
Bezawit is skilled at assisting individuals, ages 14 and over, in working through their emotions through mindfulness based emotional processing. She supports her clients in identifying patterns using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques, aids individuals in developing coping strategies from a strength-based model, and actively nurtures a non-judgmental compassionate space for self-exploration to gain insight into one’s own life. As your therapist she will assist you in achieving stability, overcoming personal and professional challenges/transitions, and will empower you in your continual growth and fulfillment.
